I've been wearing this hiking pants for a while. I was surprised by the fabric, that felt "cold" but at the end it's a really great fabric for the spring/summer: because of ticks, I don't dare to hike in short pants, so this Ascent hiking pant is perfect to cover my legs, while still being fresh while hiking in warmer temperatures. The side pockets are perfect and very good located, they can hold my phone without being annoying while walking. I think they size a bit bigger, as mine is often falling down. As a consequence, I pull it up quite often, and I managed to crack the seam between the legs. Nothing that can't be repaired, but that's just a shame. I still wore it everyday during my 7-day trek in Lapland during the summer, and it was great!

I really like how those pants make me look. They are comfy and the sizing is accurate. However it has seams on the inside at about knee height that irritate my skin when I walk - therefore I primarly use them for climbing and not for hiking (with short approaches).

Excellent cut, comfortable to wear. The size recommendation was M, I took S and I was not wrong.

I usually hike in leggings but was looking for something more durable for alpine/climbing trips. I’ve struggled to find pants with a waist that fit snuggly without a belt- this waistband was perfect! For context, I’m 5’ 3” and ~130lbs and got the size small. The only complaint is that the pocket already has a small hole in it from the bushwhacking and rock abrasion. I wish they came in a lighter color to help with absorbed heat from the sun/snow reflection. I have the navy- even the green looks pretty dark.
